Six
children have escaped government experiments. They long to be
reunited with Kit and Frannie, the couple who saved their
lives. These are no ordinary children. They have
wings. The children want to return to the Lake House because
this is the only placed they feel safe. Since Kit and Frannie
have no legal rights to the children, they are returned to their
natural parents who were told they were dead. Kit and
Frannie must now go through a tough battle in the legal
system.
The children, Kit and Frannie face many
obstacles to get where they want to go, including a survivor from
their past, but they are willing to pay the price. Will they
win?
This book is the sequel to "When the Wind Blows". James
Patterson has a great imagination to create this long awaited
sequel. This book is very entertaining because it creates a
fantasy for you and makes you use your imagination. The plot
is unique and it helps you to read the book at a fast pace.
The thing that really makes this a great book is the detail
with which James Patterson uses to describe his characters
especially the winged children. You don't have to read "When
the Wind Blows" before this book but after reading "The Lake House"
you will probably want to go back and read "When the Wind
Blows". "The Lake House" is another winner for James
Patterson!
