Colonel Geoffrey Schafer, also known as the Weasel, is a
psychopathic killer. He loved his life in Brazil where he
rented a beautiful villa and spent his drinking and playing
tennis.
One night as the Colonel returned to his villa with a
young streetwalker, three men who were hiding in the bushes jumped
him. He kept asking who they were. He finally found
out! One answered, "I am the Wolf - perhaps you've heard of
me".
What did the Wolf want with the Weasel? Well it
seems the Wolf wanted to enlist the Weasel to join forces with
him. The Wolf had planned an operation beyond anyone's
imagination. The Wolf was known for being evil but this
mission would be disastrous for many parts of the country.
It all starts when a group of soldiers, who many thought
were members of the National Guard, evacuated the entire town of
Sunrise Valley, Nevada. A short time later, a bomb exploded
and the town literally disappeared.
Alex Cross, who
was on vacation at the time, gets the call about what happened to
Sunrise alley. Some rock climbers had spotted a man using a
video camera to film the explosion. Through these pictures,
Alex Cross was able to recognize Geoffrey Schafer, the
Weasel.
It was obvious to Alex Cross that Schafer was working
with someone but who was this person or group?
Major cities
around the world are threatened with destruction including London,
Paris and New York. Can anyone stop The Wolf and The Weasel
from doing so much destruction?
What happens when the
Weasel and the Wolf work together to defeat Alex Cross? You
have a novel that is intriguing. This book is a recipe for an
adventuresome and thrilling novel. You have what seems like an
unbelievable plot. The characters and action are all mixed
together by the talented James Patterson and what do you have as an
end result? You end up with a plot that appears
believable. This is something that can only be created by a
writer who possesses the skill of James Patterson.
For all
you Alex Cross fans, this is a must read book. The plot will
captivate you! I feel this is James Patterson's best
yet. This book is highly recommended.
