SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN - JULIE MYERSON

Lives changed forever one night after Lennie attended a PTA meeting.  Lennie never came home that night.  After searching, the police found her mutilated body.

Tess, a physician, was Lennie's best friend.  After the murder, she helped look after Lennie's husband, Alex, and their children.  Alex had the horrible job of identifying the body and dealing with the police.  There were no clues.

Ted Lacey was the detective assigned to this case.  His job was to question family and friends of Lennie.  Tess saw something different in Ted - something about his calmness that offered her hope - and as a result, became more and more attracted to him.  Eventually, they had a secret affair until another tragedy took place in Lennie's life.

This book is really about people trying to go on with a normal life after Lennie's death but it soon starts to deal with how these lives become intertwined.

What happened while Tess was on a rendezvous with Ted?  Is the killer of Lennie ever found?

Julie Myerson is known for her very descriptive writing.  As you will see in this novel, she gives explicit details when describing something especially when writing about Lennie's mutilated body.  She doesn't eliminate anything!  This is a fascinating book - you will get wrapped up in the story almost immediately.  Julie Myerson's writing talent makes this a worthwhile book to read!
