       FEAR ITSELF - WALTER MOSLEY

Paris Minton runs a used bookstore.  Paris doesn't go around looking for trouble but it seems to find him.  He slept in an illegal loft above the bookstore because selling used books didn't make him a whole lot of money.  He was awakened by a knock at his door.  The knocking was persistent.  When Paris opened the door, there stood Fearless Jones.  Fearless had part of his finger shot off when he helped save Paris Minton's life in a gunfight.

Fearless told Paris that a woman asked him to help find her husband.  It just so happens that Fearless worked for the woman's husband at one time.  Fearless asked Paris to help him.  The missing man happens to be the nephew of a very wealthy woman in Los Angeles.

Paris decides to help Fearless but now he isn't sure whom he should fear most - the people he is trying to help or the people he ends up working for.  Along the way, Paris runs into danger.  Will he find the missing man?

If you haven't read any Walter Mosley books, you are certainly missing out on experiencing his great writing skills.  Walter Mosley's writing style is unique.  He is known for his character details and there are plenty of them in this book.  The plot is well developed with many surprises and twists.  Do yourself a favor - read this book - it is well worth it!
