EAST ANGLIA - WILLIAM P. KENNEDY

Detective Sergeant Browning visited Capt. James Marron at his base.  The detective was investigating the death of an English woman, apparently killed in a bombing.  However, the detective believed that she was murdered and it was made to look like she was killed in the bombing.  Jim Marron was wounded in the war and sent home.

Years later while looking through some memorabilia, Jim came across a manila envelope marked with Detective Browning's name on it.  He didn't have to think long and hard - he knew he must go back to England.  Jim thought he owed this much to the detective.

Jim Marron returned to his bomber base 50 years later with the answer to the murder that involved an American officer and an English woman.  This was a crime that fell through the cracks because of English law enforcement and American military authority.

There is another reason Jim wanted to return to England.  He had to find out what happened to the woman he loved and abandoned at the end of the war.

Does Jim really find the answer to the murder?  Does he find his old love after all these years?

This is an intriguing novel that will grab your interest from the very beginning.  The book is written in a clever manner with chapters titled "Then" and "Now".  The story will take you on an exciting journey through a difficult time period.  It also has all the excitement of a war novel and at the same time is filled with suspense and romance.  This is a good one - don't pass on reading it!
