Cindy
Decker was on patrol one evening when she saw a man with a white
flag waving her down. She could see that this man, who was
talking Spanish, was visibly upset. Cindy got the gist of what
was upsetting him when she heard the sound of a baby crying.
The man was pointing to a dumpster. Cindy was finally able to,
with the help of a ladder, reach the bag with the child. The
child still had the cord attached to her navel.
The
next step was to try and find the child's mother. The search
takes Cindy through some dangerous areas of Hollywood, which were
filled with drug lords. Cindy knew she needed help with this
case and she also knew who to turn to - her father, Detective Peter
Decker.
Will the Decker's find the child's
mother? They will surely find danger and suspense along the
way.
Faye Kellerman fans are in for a treat with this
book. It is written in the usual Kellerman style of being very
smooth and suspenseful. Whether you are a fan of Cindy
or Peter Decker you will enjoy Street
Dreams because as the book states this is a "double decker".
We look forward to more cases involving Cindy Decker. She just
has that knack of being a great detective!
