Rachael's husband was having an affair. She finally
worked up the courage to confront him but he told her she was
"crazy" and stormed out of the house. Of course, Rachael knew
this was an excuse to run to his girlfriend.
In the
past, Rachael had spent many summers at Jenny's Cove with her
grandmother. Rachael had fond memories of her younger days at
the Cove and she decided to buy a house there.
Rachael
had those fond memories of penny candy and licorice but what she
didn't know is that someone was watching her from the minute she
arrived in town.
Who was watching Rachael? What
role did Iris Brandt, the woman behind the counter of the store,
play in this mystery?
Joan Hall Hovey has written an
electrifying thriller with a great plot. Her writing skills
work in a way where you can almost feel Rachael being watched.
The characters are very descriptive and unforgettable. You
will want to add this book to your list of books to buy. It is
a real page-turner and oh yes, you will feel a little uneasy when
you leave the house tonight - be sure no one is watching!
