BOOK REVIEW

     ICE RUN - STEVE HAMILTON

This is a great time for Alex McKnight.  He is in love with Natalie Reynaud, an officer from the Canadian Provincial Police.  In addition to the feelings they share for each other, Alex and Natalie have something else in common.  They are both cops who buried their partners.

Alex is now an ex-cop who makes a living by renting cabins to snowmobilers.  He arranged for Natalie to meet him for a romantic evening at a hotel not too far away from his business.  Not too long after their arrival at the hotel, they meet an old man who is later found frozen to death.  The old man left behind a hat with a mysterious message inside.  The note mentions Natalie's past and the murder of her father.  Natalie was a child when her father was murdered.  The case was never solved.

What has happened in Natalie's past?  How much did the man who froze to death know about Natalie and her father?

Alex recruits some of his friends to help him investigate.  In the meantime he almost gets himself killed.  It doesn't help matters when Natalie disappears.

What does Alex find when he looks for Natalie?

Steve Hamilton's Alex McKnight novels keep getting better with each new book.  His writing style will make you feel like you are right there in the middle of the action.   His main character, Alex McKnight, is a very likeable character.  He is always willing to risk to his own life in order to help someone he cares about.   The author does an excellent job of holding your attention right to the end.  Steve Hamilton has created another winner and his fans will not be disappointed with this one!
