P.I.
Alex McKnight agrees to help his friend, Vinnie LeBlanc, find his
ex-con brother, Tom. Tom took the job of being the guide for a
group of moose hunters into the forests of Ontario. This was
also in violation of Tom's parole. None of the hunters
had returned home on schedule. It didn't seem possible that
Tom could be lost. After all, he was an experienced
guide.
McNight agreed to drive with Vinnie to Ontario.
When they arrived at the lodge where the hunting party was supposed
to be staying, the owners indicated that they left several days
ago. McNight and Vinnie were only more suspicious after
talking to the owners of the lodge. They seemed to give
unsatisfactory answers about the hunting party.
There
were more happenings that aroused their suspicions. Apparently
two men came looking for the hunters before McNight and Vinnie
arrived. Who were they? Also, the hunter's vehicles were
found abandoned with their wallets inside. This did not make
any sense at all.
McNight and Vinnie head for the
woods to look for answers as to what happened. Along the way,
danger awaits them! What will they find?
This has to be
Steve Hamilton's best mystery yet. The story has many twists
and keeps the reader guessing. The characters have interesting
personalities that come through as you read. The plot will
keep you intrigued the entire time you are reading this book.
My advice - Get this book. You will not be disappointed.
