BOOK REVIEW

THE  NIGHTSPINNERS - LUCRETIA GRINDLE

This is a story of identical twins, Susannah and Marina.  During their childhood they communicated with a language called nightspinning.  Without any motions or sound, the twins would carry on conversations without speaking.

After college, Susannah moved away to Philadelphia.  Years later, she became a restaurant designer.  Marina remained in Georgia.  Marina made several attempts to communicate with her sister but Susannah ignored her.

Marina is murdered and Susannah now feels guilty for ignoring Marina's attempts to communicate.  Several months after Marina's death, Susannah began to experience some unusual happenings.  She received flowers with no card, heard a song she had not heard since childhood and a piece of her hair was taped to the bathroom mirror.  Susannah soon learns that similar occurrences like these also happened to Marina right before she was murdered.

Is Marina's killer coming after Susannah?  Is Marina nightspinning from the grave?  Susannah begins an investigation.  Does she find the answer?

Lucretia Grindle has created a masterful thriller.  It keeps you in suspense throughout the book.  She does an excellent job with bringing the characters of Susannah and Marina to life.  This is a compelling book and one that you will want to add to your collection.
