Elizabeth MacMann, the First Lady, is charged with killing her husband after he is found dead in bed.  The President is known as a "womanizer".  After a quarrel one night, the first lady allegedly threw a spittoon at him.  Did the bump on the head cause him to die? 

The First Lady is arrested for murder and the trial becomes a media circus.  The First lady hires a very prestigious lawyer who happens to be one of her ex-boyfriend's from law school.  At the time, she broke up with him in favor of the man she ended up marrying and now is accused of killing.  Is this man really going to help her after what she did to him?

This is only the beginning!  Things really get wild as the story continues.  What happens to the First Lady?

This book is hilarious.  We can only imagine where Christopher Buckley got the idea for this one!   The characters sound all too familiar.  The book is very entertaining and will give you a good laugh which is something that we all need from time to time.  This book shows you just how creative Christopher Buckley is at writing.  So if you want to relax and read a good, funny book, this is the one to buy.
