Along with her recently released autumn cozy, "Deadwaiter",
Czarnota has also completed the screenplay adaptation of her
mystery series which includes: Country Inn, Dead & Breakfast, Deadwaiter
and Deadly Act. She hopes to return to writing the pre-quel book in '09.
Her dream is to see her series make to film."The big or little screen would be great," she adds when we ask about her writing aspirations. "Just so my books make it to film. With an honest contract, of course." She further states, "Low-violence whodunits are in short supply these days and that's a shame. No huge budget is necessary. The classics, great movies are achieved with awesome plotting and great acting, professional producing and directing. Take Selznick and Hitchcock's Rebecca. Riveting and not a 10 car pile up in sight. Okay, big budgets, but com'on, the producing, directing, costumes, acting. Now that's a movie." More recent is the late-great Robert Altman's, Gosford Park. Brilliant! Both movies and many like them rocked at the box office. "Great book writing, story telling and filmming transcends time. This is what mystery lovers are craving. Let's give it to them." Although Tina always has an eye open for her next book idea, she co-hosts several mystery discussion groups. Some of her fave authors are: Agatha Christie, Mary Robert Rhinehart, M.C. Beaton, Anne Perry and many more. Tina is active in humane feral cat concerns and animal rights.
