He’s afraid of many things about his trip, but by taking it one step at a time, Bug manages to overcome his fears and make it to his destination.

The book has the obvious message for children who are fearful. Even though you may be afraid of something you are not familiar with, if you take things one step at a time, you can succeed. It’s written is a very positive way and shows Bug becoming more confident as he moves forward toward his goal.

Between the bright colorful illustrations, and the sing-song dialogue, young children will want this book to read or be read to them over and over again. Parents and teachers will want Bug’s Trip to the Store because of its strong positive message.
